"An absolute cracker of a song from the pen of Carnage. I still play it live quite frequently and it always goes down really well. It just lends itself to being paired back to a guitar on it's own. At the time we struggled with it live as it had quite a strong groove, almost a Dance thing that we wouldn't have been too used to incorporating. I'm glad to say it's back in the set for the annual gigs now.

When we recorded this version I used clicks which would've been new to me but not as uncomfortable as many drummers find it. In fact any time I record drums now I use clicks. It's actually a grand version of it too but for me the definitive version will always be the pre-production one when Hoss initially brought up the song.

I'd forgotten what a good little song Popstars was. It fell away from The Hitchers set towards the end but when we played it well it was a monster tune." Niall Quinn 2006
